CanSkate Registration Notes

To enroll in this program skater should be 5 years-old and up.

Please Note: If you enroll a single skater in multiple seasons the discounted registration fee will be calculated at check-out.

If our system detects more than 30 minutes of inactivity in your browser, your registration spots will no longer be reserved and you will need to begin again.

Program Description:

 

CanSkate

This is a 50 minute program designed for children 5 years old or older. CanSkate is a dynamic learn to skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada’s long term athlete development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centres on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity. The CanSkate program is a complete series of balance, control and agility skills taught in six stages of learning that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating as well as general recreational skating. Lessons are given in a group format and led by a NCCP Certified Skate Canada Coach and assisted by trained Program Assistants.
