1. Registration Now Open!
We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for all our programs, including CanSkate, PreCanSkate, CanPowerSkate, Power Skating, and Parent & Tot. Whether your child is just starting or looking to develop their skating skills further, we have a program tailored for every level. Please register early to secure your spot!
We are accepting Interac eTransfer this year.
2. Private Lessons
We are pleased to offer private lessons throughout the season for those who wish to receive personalized coaching. These one-on-one sessions are a fantastic way to focus on individual skill development and reach specific goals. This also gives StarSkaters the opportunity to compete, test disciplines and personalize skating goals.
Details will be sent in a separate email to Lil'Star and StarSkaters.
3. Ice Show Information
We are already looking ahead to our annual Ice Show, a highlight of the year for skaters and families alike. We will share more details in the coming weeks, including how your child can participate, costume information, and key dates. Stay tuned!
4. New Coaches Joining Our Team
We are excited to welcome new coaches to our club this season! Our coaching staff brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm, and we are confident they will have a positive impact on our skaters' development.
5. NEW Dry Land Training
This year, we are introducing Dry Land Training to help our skaters improve their strength, flexibility, and conditioning off the ice. These sessions will complement the on-ice training and are designed to enhance overall performance. More information on dates and times will be provided soon.
6. *Schedule Changes Starting in October*
Please note that starting Saturday, October 5th, all Saturday skating sessions will be pushed 30 minutes later due to town ice rental conflicts. We appreciate your understanding and will provide an updated schedule closer to the date.
7. Skate Canada Curriculum and Testing
Our club follows the Skate Canada curriculum, which provides a structured approach to skill development. Skaters progress through different disciplines, such as Freeskate, Dance and Skills are tested regularly to ensure they are mastering the required elements.
8. Test Days
Throughout the season, we will be holding Test Days where skaters can demonstrate their skills and progress through the levels. These are important milestones in their skating journey, and we will communicate Test Day dates and guidelines well in advance.
CanSkate Report Cards will be sent every 5 weeks!
We are looking forward to a fantastic season ahead and can't wait to see our skaters on the ice! Should you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out using the Contact Form on our website.
